Muktodana’s Supported living facility , situated in the Asian Town land project in Purbachol, is an ambitious initiative aimed at providing a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for autistic individuals. Spanning 31.5 katha of land and conveniently located just 5–7 minutes from Kanchon Bridge along the 300-foot Asian Highway, the facility will cater to 12 autistic individuals. Its thoughtful design ensures both comfort and functionality, tailored to meet the unique needs of its residents.

The facility will comprise two main buildings:

  1. Residential Building: Dedicated to the autistic individuals, offering them personalized living spaces.
  2. Staff Accommodation: Designed to house teachers and caregivers, ensuring round-the-clock professional care and support.

Detailed Facilities

Living Spaces:

  • Each autistic individual will have a private room with a wheelchair-friendly bathroom and a south-facing balcony for natural light and ventilation.
  • Caregiver support is streamlined with duty rooms provided for every two resident rooms, enabling close monitoring and assistance.

Activity Areas:

  • Academic Rooms: Dedicated spaces for structured learning and skill development
  • Vocational Activity Room: Tailored to teach and enhance vocational skills based on individual interests and abilities.
  • Therapy Room: Equipped to provide specialized therapies for holistic development.
  • Gym: Outfitted with equipment to promote physical health and well-being.
  • Art and Music Room: A creative haven for self-expression and therapeutic engagement.

Shared Amenities:

  • Multipurpose Hall: Designed for events, gatherings, training sessions, and community programs.
  • Dining Area and Kitchen: A spacious dining area and a fully functional kitchen to cater to the dietary needs of the residents.
  • Store Rooms: Ample storage space for supplies and equipment.
  • Washing Room: Separate facilities equipped with washing machines and dryers to manage laundry efficiently.

  • All rooms in the residential and academic buildings are air-conditioned for year-round comfort.
  • The facility has an electricity backup system with a dedicated generator room, ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
